Balham Library, 16 Ramsden Road, SW12 8QY
16 February, 7pm to 8.30pm

Should we move away from low-lying coastal areas?
What role should the military play?
How do we manage conflict over water?

Sink or Swim: How the world needs to adapt to a changing climate considers the latest climate science on impacts and how the world is responding to heatwaves, floods, sea-level rise, storms and droughts. It makes the argument that we’re not doing enough to adapt, and there are a set of hard political choices ahead; that we need to do much more to adapt and we need to all engage in these choices to make a liveable world for everyone.

Susannah Fisher is a Wandsworth resident. She has been working on adaptation for over 15 years, and the book draws on her professional experience as well as the latest research.
