This meeting is specifically to plan an action highlighting our third Wake Up Wandsworth demand: for local-level planning for climate emergency events. All welcome - all your ideas needed!

Southside Shopping Centre Wandsworth High Street SW18 4TF United Kingdom
For the fifth year running, Green Santa and his Elves will be turning up at Southside Shopping Centre on a Saturday before Christmas for carol singing, Discobedience dancing and spreading the message that showing your love doesn't have to mean buying a whole load of 'stuff'. We'll be outside Southside from 11am to 1pm, then heading off to a nearby pub. Do join us - it's fun! All welcome!
Our fortnightly planning meetings are a good way to meet others from the Wandsworth group and get involved in planning future events. If you're new and prefer just to take a back seat and observe for a bit, that's fine. All welcome!

The XR Wandsworth Book Club is back after a summer break! We will be reading 'LOVE, ANGER AND BETRAYAL' by JONATHON PORRITT, a close and personal examination of what motivates young climate activists. Jonathon Porritt spent a year talking to 26 young JSO campaigners who shared their stories.
Caroline Lucas describes it as a 'deeply uncomfortable but overwhelmingly necessary book'.
Venue TBC (hopefully The Four Thieves pub if its refurbishment is done)
