For our next book club discussion, we have a very different book. The High House, Jessie Greengrass's easy-to-read story of an apocalyptic flood that ends most life on earth, has reached a wide audience and was short-listed for the Costa Prize.  But, as the Guardian says, 'The question with all cli-fi is what the reader should actually do with the warnings it aims to deliver'.

Following our very successful air pollution actions in Putney and Tooting Broadway, our next stop will be Clapham Junction - another highly congested, polluted area. We’ll be there from 11am to 1pm, leafleting and green man swarming with hazmat suits, toxic air signs, and banners declaring Air Pollution Kills and We Want To Live.

Following our very successful air pollution action in Putney, our next stop will be Tooting Broadway, as the A24 is one of the most congested routes in London. We’ll be there from 11am to 1pm, leafleting and green man swarming with hazmat suits, toxic air signs, and banners declaring Air Pollution Kills and We Want To Live. 

We'll be meeting up at 10.45 on the corner of Bickley Street and Mitcham Road, just a few steps from Tooting Broadway tube. Do join us if you can!
