Join us at the Country House pub for a social evening with maybe a bit of planning. If you're new to XR Wandsworth, this will be a good opportunity to meet others. All welcome!

Join XR Wandsworth at the River Wandle from 11am to 1pm. We will be leafleting and collecting signatures for The Great Clean Up Petition demanding the government take steps to clean up our Dirty Water, inc renationalising the water companies. This is a great way to reach out to members of the public - no one likes poo in the water!

The evening will include a short presentation by Keval Bharadia on Money Rebellion and how we can be more strategic in putting pressure on the financial institutions that support the fossil fuel economy. Keval is the former Head of Derivatives Product Development at the London Stock Exchange, now focusing on climate justice and reparations.

We've moved our usual online planning meeting to 6.30 because some of us want to go to the Environment Committee meeting where the results of the Citizens Assembly on Air Pollution will be presented. The Brewers Inn Pub is directly opposite Wandsworth Town Hall, so we can wrap up our planning over a drink before heading over to the Environment Committee. All welcome as always!

The evening will include a short presentation on the Public Order Act and other recent developments in public order legislation by John Valentine, recent member of XR legal support, followed by questions and discussion. This is an ideal opportunity to invite partner groups who are also concerned about growing restrictions to our democratic freedoms to protest. Also a great opportunity to meet others from XR Wandsworth over a drink and slice of pizza. We'll be in the small room next to the cafe/bar. All welcome!

As part of Big Green Week, XR Wandsworth will be doing art blocking at the Community Fun Day in Tooting. Do join us and bring T-shirts, bags, etc to be decorated with fabulous XR designs. Or come along and learn to do art blocking yourself! We'll be there 12pm-5pm.
